Ashworth Bros Hanley England - Large Platter

Collected over a lifetime of travel and discovery, Chuck is sharing a few pieces from his personal collection with Courtyard Lifestyle.

This antique Ashworth Bros. oval ironstone platter features the "Flying Bird" pattern (B9461) with polychrome floral and landscape details.  Manufactured by Ashworth Brothers of Hanley, Staffordshire, England, it was produced circa 1895.  The platter features hand-painted details over a transfer print with a yellow ochre rim.  It is marked "Enola" on back.
